Filmed on 11/13/07 - The Running Event - Austin, TX - Jason discusses the difference between regular training shoes and trail running shoes according to The North Face.  Some shoes have similar properties such as posting and comfort, but much of the technology is the protection you will get from the exterior of the shoe.  The battery ran out as he was about to describe the new patent-pending Snake Plate technology.  It's a rock shield that flexes naturally with the shoe.
